It is handcrafted from agate and chalcedony. The texture and color of each Dzi bead is natural and unique.
Four-Eyed Dzi Bead are considered to be the dzi bead of the four bodhisattvas. Bodhisattva is the name in Buddhism for a person who practices Buddhahood (enlightenment) and benefits all sentient beings. Bodhisattvas consciously remain in this world without entering nirvana to help people and other sentient beings escape samsara - the endless cycle of reincarnations.
Each Dzi bead is unique. After the baptism of time, Dzi bead will have some scratches and some light blue on the surface, which is normal. Please note, there are no flawless Dzi bead in the world.
Some Dzi beads will also have some small pits on the surface. Don't worry, these are "medicine pits". These are the traces left by people who scraped off a part of the Dzi bead to grind it into powder for medicine when they were seriously ill.
